A Bihari wedding is like any other Indian wedding with added fun and frolic. A Bihari wedding would consist of the groom going to the bride’s house with a procession. The procession would consist of his friends, family and relatives.  

The actual wedding could be a religious wedding where the priests would chant matras and the groom and bride would chant alongside. The proper wedding and chanting can go up to 3 days however due to time constrains, it now usually lasts a few days and sometimes even few hours. 

There is a lot of celebration with dancing and fireworks on both sides of the bridal and groomal divide. There would be a wide range and variety of food. Sometime there are live music. There are usually arranged by the bride’s parents. 

After the wedding, the bride would then come to live with the groom for the first time.
