Mogul Products

Lots of books have been written about both moguls. But Donald Trump pulls away easily. He's got mucho stuff - Books ... DVD/CDs ... Games ... TV Show ... Hairpieces.

Round 5: Donald Trump keeps Bill Gates at bay with great footwork and an Apprentice Season 3 DVD. He pummels Gates in the face with it. Trump wins Round 5 on points.

As the round ends, Gates shouts, "The Apprentice should have been cancelled two seasons ago!"

Dealmaking

Bill Gates oversaw dozens of acquisitions and partnerships. But most were not headline-making, buccaneer type deals. They seemed a little ho hum-ish.

Every Donald Trump deal seems to be headline-grabbing. Hotels ... Casinos ... Merchandise ... Wives. This may be all perception. But, perception is nine tenths of the business law!

Round 6: Mogul Trump takes the round with a series of right crosses that kept knocking off Mogul Gates' thick black-rimmed geek glasses.

Philanthropy

Gates set up the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to do good things globally. It's one of the largest charitable organizations in existence .... ever!

Donald Trump ... Well he's probably doing something philanthropic, right? It's just not well publicized, right? Funny, he's usually a great promoter.

Round 7: Gates stings Trump with a flurry of jabs and hooks. He floors The Donald by hittin' em upside the head with a box of Windows Vista. Round 7 to Gates.

The Trumpster taunts, "You can do better than that. Vista is a piece of crap!"

The Mogul Wives (Final round)

At first glance, you're probably thinkin' what I'm thinkin' ... Trump's wife is much more attractive than Gates' wife. Mrs. Trump is a former model. So no surprise.

But the Gates foundation is called The Bill AND Melinda Gates Foundation. Melinda was also an executive at Microsoft. It's no contest.

Round 8: Bill Gates tires Donald Trump with a series of body blow combinations, and finishes with a Tyson-esque upper cut. Trump falls 1 minute 32 seconds into the final round!

What a great fight!

Here's my final thought.

If I'm seeking a CEO that will create a quasi-monopoly, and make bundles of cash, Gates is my Mogul.

But, if I'm seeking a big personality to build and promote my brand, Trump's the man.

The lesson here ...
