Does the food live up to the name?

Bimbo's Bitchin' Burrito Kitchen is brightly painted and flashily decorated--but are the burriots really bitchin'?

If you want to show your friends a good time on a budget, this is the place for you. The servings are huge, ingredients tend to be fresh, and they offer great Happy Hour specials.

The decorations can keep you entertained for hours, as will the outfits and hairdo's of the locals who eat there. It's a loud place, so except to yell at your companions over the blaring music and voices.

This place is more than just food: it's an experience.

The Cha Cha Lounge

I always meant to check Bimbo's out...

After three years in Seattle, I just never got around to it. Then I moved to New York for a year (don't worry, Seattle got me back). While listening to a radio program in New York City, I found it hilarious to hear them talking about Britney Spears frequenting Bimbo's Bitchin' Burrito Kitchen in Seattle.

Now, I'm exactly down with Brit, but it was nice to hear about something close to home when I was across the country. When I made it back to Seattle, I checked Bimbo's out. It's funky and full of huge food--definitely worth a visit.

My suggestion: Check out the attached bar, the Cha Cha Lounge. It's dark, groovy, and a great place to chill. Order some beers, tequila shots, and the organic bean nachos. Yummy.
