Can you replace Methnol to Ethnol in your Immunoblot assay?

Immunoblot assay know as western blot. It is common protocol for protein detection. In standard protocol, a lot of methonal be added in different buffer. Since methnol is much toxic than ethnol. Can we replace methonal to ethonal? Yes, I did replace methonal to ethonal in my protocol.without other modification. Before, I did this. I check Bio-Rad website, and Minipore website. Both of them have some information about "How to replace methnol to ethnol". Some environment department have the same information, too. As I concern the health of wet lab work, and our nature environment. I would like to spread this information.

Can stir bar put in microwave oven?
