Working Together
In early spring the mountain is full of species of birds bickering for the best nesting spots. The air is full of squeaks and screams mixed with love songs. One bright early morning a dark shadow glided across the clearing. The love songs ceased. The screams became louder. Upon investigation I found a large Golden eagle also checking out possible nesting locations. The bickering small birds no longer fought each other but unified instantly to ward off the invader. Risking life and limb the different species of what just moments before were arch enemies now had joined forces to circle, block and attack in unisons as if they had trained their whole lives to become a fierce fighting unit.
I grabbed the camera and videoed in amazement of the natural survival of which I was blessed to witness. How sad humans with all their intellect and resources can not lay aside their differences and join forces to save our world. Greed and selfishness is such a blinding characteristic it blocks all of our natural instincts to survive as a whole. Pride of the individual will surely consume the good of the all. The video says it best. Enjoy and learn.
