Birthday Planning Ideas

Birthday party planning should and can be fun. Remember it is supposed to be a celebration, not a headache. Make it fun and exciting for everyone, including you. You don't have to try to win the hostess with the mostess. Besides, no one is going to give you an award, no matter what you do.

Birthday Planning Tip #2

Get a helper or two. Who says you have to play hostess all by yourself? Get your spouse, a family member, or a friend to help out. Get quite a few little helpers if need be and assign tasks for all of them to do to keep the party going smoothly.

Birthday Planning Tip #3

Budget & Don't Budge! Set a budget for your party and don't budge on anything beyond that. The expense of having a party can really get out of hand if you don't have a handle on it from the beginning. Set your financial limit and stick to it.

Birthday Planning Tip #4

Ease of Electronic Invitations. So you've got all the details of the party down. Now you need to send out the invitations. Make your invitations not only as simple as pie (see tip #1), but by sending them electronically via email with a clickable link that comes right into your web page about the party, they'll be different and your guests will thank you for breaking up the monotony of their lives.

Your guests will immediately see the details of the party, the theme of the party, pictures of you or whoever or whatever you deem appropriate and applicable to the party.

Planning a Birthday Party

Make your web page completely personal. You can even post little "need-to-knows" such as, "please bring a covered dish" (refer to tip # 2). Make it exceptionally unique and personal by adding a video clip of something related to your party theme. Add some festive music, audios, and anything else you desire to personalize your page. When you're done, you'll have a fantastic, interesting little invitation.

Your web page can also be interactive. Your guests can reply online and everyone can see who is coming to your birthday party and who's not and who is still thinking about it. You can even put pictures of your guests next to their names and make it even more personal for them. This will encourage them to mingle in cyberspace, get to know each other, and actually network. You can change the page up as much as you'd like and when the party is done, add some pictures and/or videos from the party for all to see. Just go to Events Listed and see just how simple it is to do (again, refer to tip #1). Plus it's free (refer to tip # 3).
