The creation of eBay has revolutionized the way people buy and sell things online.  Buyers are often able to buy goods for a lesser amount of money than would be spent on comparable items at a brick and mortar retailer.  Sellers are able to turn into cash what they may have otherwise thrown out on the curb.  eBay has also proven to be a rather successful business platform for quite a few people who have built up a nice clientele for certain niche products.  Regardless of how you use eBay personally, the online auction service has proven to be one of the greatest internet innovations to date.

Unfortunately, innovations rarely exist without their quirks and eBay is no exception.  In an effort to include categories for all products, eBay has been forced to add a few rather odd and completely bizarre categories to include seemingly random and spontaneous products.  The categories have been detailed below, and include links to products even wackier than the categories themselves!

Browsing the "slightly unusual" category on eBay is a lot like walking into your local joke shop or gag store. There are plenty of gag gifts, prank ideas, fake body parts, and packs of fishy gum to go around. While you may occasionally run into an odd prank product or two, the slightly unusual category remains rather safe containing nothing too far out of the ordinary.  The "slightly unusual" category is nothing more than the perfect venue to remenisce the junior high school days during which we all competed to pull the latest and greatest pranks and gags.

The "really wierd" category is where things start to go a bit crazy.  The "really wierd" category plays host to serious prank products such as liquid ass, and odd novelty items like the President Barack Obama million dollar bill.  Perhaps even less comforting is the fact that the "really wierd" category is the home of many different fantasy, fetish, and role-play objects generally found in more adult oriented stores.  The "really wierd" category may make you a bit uncomfortable or perhaps it will cause you to chuckle, but it won't make the hair on your arms stand on end.  For the most part, the really wierd products on eBay are the stuff of more sofisticated jokesters and novelty retailers.

The products on eBay start to get really odd, paranormal, and out-of-this-world in the "totally bizarre" category.  The "totally bizarre" category contains all sorts of paranormal items from listings of spells and haunted rings to iPod headphones with a ghost living in them.  While some may be content to chalk such stories and products up as fake, those who are selling them tell pretty convincing stories in the item description section.  Also in the "totally bizarre" category are items which have inadvertantly taken the form of another object such as the corn flake shaped like a dog, the corn flake shaped like texas, and the grilled cheese sandwhich with the likeness of Jesus cooked onto it.  And just when you think that this is the most bizarre things can get, think again!  People even offer contracts on their human soul, portions of their lives, and ownership of certain body parts (for advertisement via tatoo) up for sale.  Now that is totally bizarre...
