Black Belt Recruiting – What It Can Do For You
There has been quite a buzz in the network marketing arena lately with the latest training from Mike Dillard, the successful network marketer who has brought us Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget, MLM Traffic Formula and now Black Belt Recruiting. I hope to provide you some insight into what Black Belt Recruiting is all about so that you can determine for yourself whether it is right for you.
What Comes In the Package?
1) 6 audio CD's - The audio CD's consist of 6 taped interviews of Mark Wieser conducted by Mike Dillard. Mark Wieser was Mike Dillard's first real network marketing mentor and his training and mentoring of Mike was what led Mike to his success in network marketing.
2) 1 42-page booklet with content entirely different from the audio CD's.
What is covered?
The most important thing that is covered by Black Belt Recruiting is developing your mindset and posture. Don't worry, this is not the rah, rah, rah stuff and "fake it to you make it" stuff that you may have been taught by old-school network marketers or even your network marketing company in the past. This is solid stuff. As this course is on recruiting, much of the focus is on the initial conversations with your prospect and especially the first phone contact with a lead generated from your lead generation system.
What Mark teaches here is to develop your mindset so you yourself really know what you have a hold of in yourself and your network marketing business. Mark teaches you to think like a leader, act like a leader, and convey that sense of leadership to your prospects. This is done in a very business-like, professional manner that you would expect from your own leader. The focus is not on the products, not on your company, but the focus is on you. People will get into your business because of you and the leadership you display. People want to join a team that is going some where and the way you communicate and the way you stand out from the rest will attract prospects to you.
The other part of mindset that Mark teaches is the sense of abundance and not scarcity. Mark teaches you that you don't have to sign up every prospect. The prospect needs you more than you need him. It is important to qualify the prospect and Mark provides the questions to ask to make that determination. It is OK to say no to a prospect. You are looking for people to work with who are pre-disposed to success. You are not looking for the needy. You don't want to show your business to someone who is "interested" - you want to show it to someone who is looking and will do something with it. You are looking for someone who is ambitious and has drive and not someone that is going to come up with numerous objections and excuses. Your time is too valuable to squander on mediocre prospects.
Part of posture is being in control of the call. Mark teaches you how to maintain that control, especially when the prospect is intentionally testing your leadership by giving you a hard time. Mark also teaches techniques of control and leadership where you don't answer the prospects question (without evading it) and another situation where you answer the questions that the prospect didn't ask but should have. Another thing that Mark teaches is how to get "fence sitters" off the fence and make a decision (which could be a default decision).
In the booklet, Mike teachings include the following:
- How to sponsor more reps without hard selling.
- Getting invited.
- Generating attraction.
- Effective follow up.
Mark also teaches, on the CD's and also in the booklet, how to handle 25 of the most common objections that you will get from prospects.
Mark Wieser and Mike Dillard cover a lot of ground in the CD's and the booklet. Whether you are new to network marketing or a seasoned veteran, you are sure to find useful techniques that you can immediately apply to your business, any one of them would be worth the price of admission on its own. The information is down to earth, straight to the point, and done with a sense of fun and humor. The Black Belt Recruiting program gets my recommendation.
Barbara Silva, a colleague of mine has produced a great video that provides an overview of the various resources that are available at Magnetic Sponsoring through Mike Dillard.
C Doug Mah is an internet network marketing coach whose goal is to teach independent business owners how to use attraction marketing and Web 2.0+ technologies to grow their businesses profitably. Going beyond the old school techniques that are still being taught by some network marketing and MLM organizations, these techniques drive pre-qualified prospects to your business, allowing you to spend more time in business building and training instead of prospecting and recruiting.
