Book one, called Dark Lover, focuses on Wrath, the last remaining pureblood warrior. Wrath loves to kill, mostly lessers, and doesn't hesitate to fight when the opportunity arises. When the scent of a lesser hits his nose, he's all business and all lethal action. Disaster strikes in the form of a car bomb set in one of the Brotherhood's vehicles, killing their leader, Darius. This forces action on Wrath's part, causing him to take in Darius' halfbreed daughter, Beth. Wrath and Beth form a bond based on sex and needing, her transition into her life as a vampire heralded by the unshakeable bond of love she finds in Wrath.

Book two, called Lover Eternal, takes us deeper into the world of the Brotherhood. This book focuses on the vampire Rhage, a cursed member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood who, for 200 years, turns into a vicious monster when he looses control of himself. Enter Mary, a human with not long to live. Her tolerance and love, her will to live and the need she displays for Rhage brings about amazing things, things you'll never expect.

Lover Awakened tells the story of Zsadist, a former blood slave and member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The name fits, only Zsadist is hard on himself, and harder on the women he lays with. The vampire Bella, Mary's best friend, offers herself to Zsadist, and yet he denies her. Then, a member of the lessening society kidnaps her, and the end result will shock you.

Lover Revealed gives the reader more insight on the human who lives with the Brotherhood, the human cop named Butch. Butch moved in with the Black Dagger Brotherhood, got himself a crush on the aristocrat vampire Marissa, but now he's got bigger issues. Issues like, for one, the Omega inside him. It is revealed in this book that Butch has a higher purpose, a higher destiny than just merely being the ex-cop with a vampiric girlfriend, but you'll have to read the book to find out what this destiny is.

The fifth book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series is called Lover Unbound. This book dives headlong into the love life of Vishous, which is to say a pretty much nonexistent love life. Destiny, a theme which is the warp and weft of this series (other than the sex and impossible love stories) takes Vishous for a ride when he meets and falls in love with a human named Jane. But yet, this is not meant to be easy as the future and Fate hold a different plan in mind for Vishous..

Book six in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series is called Lover Enshrined, and takes us down into the rabbit hole with Phury choosing between passion and responsibility, Xhex and John setting fire to the air, and more doom and gloom from the Omega.  Lover Enshrined is a heady ride that will keep you glued to the book from page one to the back cover.
