After receiving my new Bold yesterday, I have quite a bit of time trying to functions. So far, it is simply the best phone I have experienced. This is my first BlackBerry, and I moved from my former BlackJack II 6.0 wm mostly because my work only supports BlackBerry Enterprise Service for e-mail. I'd say, a blackberry two months, but waited for the bold because I did not want to downgrade my personal properties. In this sense, I believe myself to the gap between business users and a personal entertainment users. Of course the first thing to say is that the screen in beautiful. The demo videos show the beautiful tightly packed pixels. But what I did not know going in to buy, how many small surprises were in store:

1) The Media Manager is simple and solid. I popped in my previous 8 GB microSD, and it was all mine. Wma files without prompting. I can understand the artist or song title I want by typing in the first few letters. Only negative is not yet located the album art on the map of WMP.

2) The screen responds to ambient light by brighter when it bright, and with a dimmer backlight keyboad in low light.

3) If you plug it in for the collection, it automatically switches to a clock display mode, where you can simply set the alarm, which is perfect for how I use my phone as my main alarm. You can also from here to sleep mode, which displays the clock permantly super dim, and turns off annoying registration LEDs.

4) Together with my BT stereo headphones instantly. Found my home WiFi network and much lighter than Vista.

5) Voice dialing works amazingly well.

6) Very speakers for music reproduction with surprising quality.

7) Web browser is not as beautiful as the iPhone, but better than pocket ie on Windows Mobile.

8) The new BlackBerry versions of Gmail and Google Maps Rock (I've downloaded). Maps provides fast and accurate GPS position, and even streetview! Yahoo Go (my other major ap) but not the support of Kuehne.

9) on new 3G users will be surprised how quickly can drain the battery in the use of this connection.
