Yesterday, while I’m on my way to home, I got a call from my friend saying that her car was jammed on the road. Before I can ask her location, my phone has no sound at all. I thought my phone loss a signal since I was driving. Then, I try to call her back with pressing number 4 pad (I set her number for fast dial), but no sound at all. Well, at least automatic operator services should told me that I’m out of signal.

I wonder what happen and stopped at the roadside. Then, Oh God! This happen again. It was already third times for this week. Yes, my Blackberry phone was out of battery again! What should I do? It was night and looks like the rain will fail. I wonder how she dealing with her car right now. But, the most important thing, is she safe? Ok, ok. I just need to call her. Let’s find a public phone. Oh, am I stupid? How should I know her number? It’s all in this phone.

If I’m not mistaken, there will be a gas station about 10 miles away. Then, I drove and stop at that station. My conversation with cashier in the mini market of that gas station:

Me: Hello.
Cashier A: hello dude! Wassup?!
Me: uh... do you have Blackberry charger?
Cashier A: This? I wonder. Hey, Mike (he called his friend which in the store)! Do we have charger for this Blackberry phone?
Cashier B: What?
Cashier A: Blackberry charger!
Cashier B: Wait, wait (and he come to us)! What? Blueberry? (I’m laugh at that moment instantly).
Cashier A: Here! Take your blueberry buddies! (and more laugh)
Cashier B: What should I do with this berry?
Me: Do you have charger for this Blueberry?
Cashier A: Oh... of course but we’re run out of stock yesterday. As you know this is a gas station market and we only have a little stock.
Me: God! How should I solve this?
Cashier A: By the way, we have the last one of Blackberry car charger.
Me: Huh??
Cashier A: But I don’t recommend this since it is not original because it’s not from Blackberry retailer and so cheap.
Me: Why don’t you said earlier? Don’t mind. Just sell it!

I bought that cheap Blackberry car charger ($4) and make a call. I’m relieved that she is fine, just fine. Of course I’m worried because she is female. I leaved my phone charged with that cheap charger around 3 hours.

But my battery bar doesn’t increase. And when I plug off that car charger to make a call, it was off after 15 seconds if that call was answered. This truly shows that cheap car charger will only lead you to headache. As experienced user, I suggest that you buy the original car charger. But, seems like the original Blackberry car charger will cost you at least $29.99. So, which one? I’m still with my cheap charger but I will buy the original one. Another alternative is buy extra rechargeable battery. But, for traveler like me (I like traveling), I need both. The original Blackberry car charger is the smartest choice.
