Blackberry Curve 8330: What I love about mine
61
Let's be shallow at first, shall we? I chose my Blackberry (BB) Curve 8300 based upon the many technological features that it possesses. Right... Actually, my first thought when seeing it was, "Oh, it looks cool-- and it's pink!" Yes, I have the pink one. However, just like its owner, it can change its appearance with the quick addition of a rubber sleeve (I have a lime green one that makes it look very eco-friendly) or a hard case cover (I have a pink one that makes it look even more pink-a-licious!). Granted, there's a lot you can do with a BB, but first and foremost, it is just plain hot.
Let's get jiggy with it. After adding a 4 GB SD card, I was able to transfer some of my great music collection straight from my PC to my BB. Again, shallow maybe, but very cool. The great part is that you can use the songs as ringtones! I now have ringtones for those special people in my life - my husband (a litty ditty by Flogging Molly), my oldest son (a feisty tune by The Offspring), my office (one of the standard ringtones installed on the device originally) and many more.
Getting personal... Yes, I know that most cell phones allow you customize your contacts by adding a pic of that person (or something that might remind you of them), but the BB just does it better. I love seeing a picture of my jack russells when my home number is calling or a picture of my grandfather when my grandmother calls.
Crackberries do it better. There are a lot of sites dedicated to the BB, but my personal fave is www.crackberry.com. I have downloaded some great free images and sounds from there and new content is added daily. They have great articles, links, how-to's, etc... And besides, the website name is just fun to say!
I love my BB, so let's just consider this installment 1 of the many I'm sure I'll be posting. If you don't have a BB, but are considering getting one, you're one smart cookie. If you're not into BB's, you're just kidding yourself - you know you want one!
Happy berrying!
