LOGOS

Blackhawk Blades CQD Mark I Type E

The award-winning CQD® Mark I™ is one of the most demanded knives in the tactical industry. The Type E was created in an effort to make the award winning design of the Mark I available to budget concious users.   The Type E is functionally identical to the original manual version of the Mark I. It features the same high-strength button-lock mechanism and secondary safety, recessed seatbelt/cord cutter, and carbide glass breaker. The difference is that its handle is constructed of precision injeciton molded reinforced nylon on top of a 420J stainless steel frame.

This knife has a spearpoint AUS8A stianless steel blade.  Then the blade is given a PVD coated finish.  This low profile color makes it very tactical.  The blade also has improved geometry in a successful effort to increase its cutting ability. You can get the Type E with either a plain edge or a combo edge, as shown in the photos below.

Blackhawk Blades Trocar

If you are seeking one of the best fixed blades on the market, the Trocar is for you. This fixed blade is long, thin and narrow. The Trocar wouldn't really work as a survival knife, but for a combat carry knife I think it is absolutely one of the best.  It carries easily, is extremely sharp, and has multiple tactical uses.

The blade is made of AUS8A stainless and has a black teflon coating. The black teflon makes it non-reflective.  The steel is easy to keep sharp.  You can get the Trocar with eiher a non serrated or a part serrated edge.  I prefer the part serrated.

The handle is a fiberglass-reinforced injection molded nylon.  This gives you a strong handle with a solid grip.  The knife also comes with an incredibly versatile sheath system.  Good stuff.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Blade Length: 3.875”
Overall Length: 8.400”
Blade Material: AUS8A stainless steel
Blade Finish: Black Teflon® coating
Edge type: Plain edge or partially serrated with zero-ground tip
Handle Material: Fiberglass-reinforced injection-molded nylon
Sheath: Injection-molded nylon with TCCS hardware system

Another well done, if not a marketing hub. ;) Blakhawk sounds good, I've always been fascinated with blades...and fire, but its hard to whittle with that.
