This morning, I called my congressman, Tom Rooney (R) Florida, just to confirm that he was voting against the takeover of the Health care system by the government. His aide answered that, of course, he was. I asked whether he might have tried to convince some of his fellow legislators, and also asked whether there was any blackmailing going on. He said he didn't know about that.

Now, we all know that it passed by 5 votes (220-215), with one Republican, Joseph Cao of Louisiana, voting for it. However, what has been learned is that MoveOn.org, George Soros, organization raised 3.5 million dollars to push primary candidates against any Democrats who voted against the bill, according to Fox News. The recently elected Bill Owens of the 23rd District in New York, who ran on a platform opposing the Health Care Bill changed his mind, soon after being sworn into Congress, and voted with the majority, according to Jim Hoft, Gatewaypundit.The email from MoveOn.org threatened any Democrat voting against the Bill that they would "face an enormous backlash from the grassroots."

Obama admitted that he and Bill Owens purposely misled the constituents of the 23rd District of New York, according to leaked information from TCOT Report. He changed his position during the last hours, when there was a diversion due to the RINO Dede Scozzafava's withdrawal from the race.

The New York Times reported: ""The president also singled out Representative Bill Owens, the newly-elected Democrat from a historically Republican district in New York, who was sworn into office just on Friday. Mr. Obama noted that Mr. Owens would support the health care bill even though it might not be popular at home. “Think about Bill Owens,” Mr. Obama said. “He could have dodged it. But he didn’t. And guess what? Bill is sitting right here.”

Here is what Obama is quoted as saying to a closed session of Democrats just prior to the vote last night: “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”

There was a small victory for the pro-life advocates in that the Stupak Amendment , disallowing federal funding of abortion, was approved (240-194), before the final vote on the Health Care Reform. This was a pivotal, since many of the 'blue dog" Democrats pledged to vote against it without the Stupak Amendment.

Even though he is a successful hege fund broker, and makes billions from the stock market, he is virulently opposed to America and wants to replace our lifestyle with a socialist nanny state.
