Back pain is defined as pain or discomfort in the area of the lower back. The pain can be severe and sudden or chronic if it has lasted more than 3 mouths.

Back pain often occurs in younger people whose work involves physical effort. It is impossible to identify the exact cause of back pain but about twenty five percents of cases, however, it is possible to identify the causes like :

• Osteoporosis (brittle bones)
• Slipped disc
• deformation of natural spine curvature (scoliosis)
• skeletal damage

• Sciatica

and the symptoms of back pain are:

• Pain across the lower part of the back and it is getting worst on movement
• Limitation in movement of the spine- especially bending forward and leaning back
• Tense spasm of the muscles surronding the spine and causing o stiff back
• A tingling sensation or numbness in the back or buttocks or leg
  

But if you recognize that you are unable to control your bladder or bowel movements or if the area of the lower back or legs turns numb it is describing the danger signs, so it is better that you contact a doctor or emergency department immedietly.
