Blago Seats Roland Song

Reid, In a More contemplative Mood, Take a Deep Breath, Harry

Ponder Your Next Move, Harry

Has Harry Reid lost it? Today I felt like I was back in the days of the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott.

The Senate Majority leader surrounded by the other "Whitey" Senators declared that they would not "seat" Rolan Burris, whom the Governor of Illinois had just appointed to replace the vacated seat of Barack Obama.

It seems rather odd anyway that a pro-life, Mormon like Harry Reid would be a Democrat in the first place. Their President-elect Obama is known as the "full abortion candidate" who promises to sign the FOCA immediately after his inauguration. Then little 12 yr olds won't have to bother their parents for consent when they have an abortion, and neither will Obama's precious ones.

What I witnessed today was a throwback to the old days of segregation. I suppose the Senate thought they could go back to their old way of complete segregation. It appeared that they didn't even bother to make the usual political calculations; foolishly making a chess move out of sheer anger, rather than studied analysis. And, it wasn't only Reid, he was flanked by Pelosi and the other "whitey" legislators.

Did they have any idea what kind of impact they had on the Black community, or for those who worked for Civil Rights? We all remember all too well that JFK did not sign, and was not in favor of the Civil Rights Act. It was RFK that put a wiretap on MLK. It was the Democratic Party that was the Jim Crow Party and the Party of segregation. Senator Obama even helped raise $800,000 for the campaign of former KKK member, Senator Robert Byrd according to Wake Up ica.blogspot

Blagojevich made his move, cool and calm, and was followed up by legendary Black Panther, now Congressman, and Pastor Bobby Rush making an emotional appeal for a desegragated Senate.

Can you believe it is New Year's Eve 2009 and we are still dealing with this kind of discrimination? It was like feudal war of wills, with Rod Blagojevich squarely in the winner's circle. These legislators probably need to brush up the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Powell v. McCormack, before they start claiming they can "refuse to seat him."

LOL Yes this is too delicious! Blago just gave everyone the finger and was smiling when he did it. Beyond delicious. Watch the Democrats squirm over this one. In an age when any innocent statement can be permutated into 'racist' blather, when Bill Clinton was called 'racist' for an innoucuos comment after the South Carolina primary, watching the tables being turned on the hypocritical Democrats is just simply splendid theatre. Blago, as corrupt as he is, is still the govenor. Remember at this point his only crime, sans conviction, is that he got caught. There are 49 other govenors, 99 senators and one psuedo president elect who haven't yet been nailed. Lucky us. To watch them try to find clauses, loopholes, points of proceedure to block the doorway in an act reminiscent of George Wallace is pure poetic justice. We can all watch as they all try to decide which black man is constitutionally eligible? Can it be true that Harry Reid feels more responsibility towards the proper vetting of an elected official than the SCOTUS? The very same ineffectual Harry 'Mr. Wet Cardboard' Reid who has sat on his hands for two years with his fingers up his arse has decided that there really is something that he feels so passionately about that he will rally the troops to do something about it. What a joke. Theatre indeed. Our national political stage just keeps getting better and better. And the play "No drama Obama" looks to become a real comedy.

chiron. i actually did Blago's chart. and guess what? the usual aspect or conjunction of Mars Mercury wasn't there. Not even in the divisional charts. He may be corrupt, but he probably had to be to be alive as a Serbian "first generation" inchicagol

I can't stand Harry Reid. However, this isn't a racist move, and Reid did the right thing. Burris didn't have the Sec. Of State sign off on the appointment, and that is a essential to seat him. They didn't turn him away because he was black, they did it cause he was "undocumented."
