Is Blastoff Network A Scam?
I want to first thank you for at least checking this out. I understand a lot of people are talking about the Blastoff Network being a scam. I partly blame this on some of those out there who are promoting Blastoff all the wrong ways. I've even seen some stuff here on Hubpages that made me cringe. There are people trying to push it and they're talking about how you're going to make tons of money. You don't make money, you save money. I'm here to tell you the truth about the Blastoff Network.
You Won't Be Making Thousands of Dollars
I can't even really say that. Who knows how much money you'll make. You could make thousands, hundreds, or maybe just fifty bucks. I don't know, and neither do you. The percentage you get back from the Marketplace are very small and you have to spend a lot to get a lot back. I'm not complaining at all. I don't mind getting money back after I spend, even if it's only a couple dollars. If I'm going to buy it anyway, might as well get something back for it. The money you get from your network and their spending habits is even less of a percentage. Still a very small amount. Again, it's free money. Why wouldn't you accept it? But even still, to me, Blastoff isn't about the money. It's about how convenient of a homepage it will be for me.
It's Not A Scam
It's free to join. How is that a scam? Join Blastoff and if you don't like it, just stop using it. But at least give it a try. You've got absolutely nothing to lose.
It'll Make A Great Homepage
This is really what does it for me. I have it set to my home page and I love it. I have news from Wired (I'm a tech nerd) and CNN, and Appleinsider, among others. You can set your favorite teams and get news about them (being from Florida, I have the Miami Dolphins news up, even though I already know they're terrible =P). Facebook and Twitter are there, so that's two places conveniently brought in front of me as soon as I turn on my computer and open my browser. And of course, if I'm bored, I've got a plethora of games to choose from. I'm addicted to the Spiderman game on there. The physics are terrible and you can tell it's a homebrewed game but it's fun none the less!
You Will Save Money
Ok, another reason you've got nothing to lose. If you are shopping online, as I often do, why bother going to Bestbuy.com and getting no reward other than your purchase, when for no fee to join, you can join Blastoff and at least get a little money back. Like I said, it's not much money, but if Best Buy wants to give me $20 back for buying a brand new computer, I'll take it! My point is, if it's something you were going to buy anyway, why not buy it through a site that's already on your homepage, already open, and willing to give you a small percentage back just as a thank you?
