Blepharoplasty is also known as the eyelid surgery. In general in almost all the people the muscles begin to weaken with age and particular so after the age of 35. Now when that happens the muscles around the eyes weak and you will see that the eyelids begin to droop.

The lower eyelids will begin to droop and the there will be puffiness under the eyes. This puffiness is nothing but the excess fat under the eyes. This puffiness can be reduced using the cosmetic surgery procedure known as the Blepharoplasty.

There are two things that are generally done in the Blepharoplasty and these are the lower eyelid Blepharoplasty and the upper eyelid surgery Blepharoplasty. That said the eyelid surgery will not life your eyebrows and it will also not be able to correct the wrinkles. It will also not be able to remove the dark circles from under the eyes.

So when you go to surgeon with the eyelid surgery costs make sure that you check the costs of the brow lift procedure as well as the costs of the face lift so that you can combine the costs and get easy financing also.

Average Blepharoplasty costs

The average cost for the eyelid surgery is between 3000 – 3500 dollars. This cost will not include any before and after Blepharoplasty preparation costs. These are strictly the cost of your surgeon plus the anesthesia and the related fees.

Now f you are wondering if the surgeon will accept the monthly payments then yes a lot of eyelid surgeons will able to accept the monthly payments. In general a lot of patients will go for the credit card payments so that you can make monthly payments. That said there are a lot of financing options that are available. In general a lot of people ask the questions if the eyelid surgery can be financed even if I have bad credit. The answer is that bad credit does not have the effect on the financing. The only problem is that you will be charged higher rates. There are guaranteed loans available for the cosmetic eyelid surgery and the best way to find about those is to consult with the surgeons facility and they will be able to tell you the financing options or they will have you in touch with the plastic surgery financing companies.

The health insurance companies do not cover the costs of the plastic surgery though in some cases they may be able to if there is a case that the droopy eyelids have caused problem to your vision. This is a simple answer to your question about will the insurance companies cover the cost of Blepharoplasty.

Do not always go for the lower cost surgeon but rather go to one which has a reputation of doing a good job. The reason being that it is easy to get swayed by the lower costs but after the job is done then if you do not like what are the results then you may have to spent extra money to get that corrected.
