My electronic journal of thoughts

Am I the only one that feels a sense of relief when I write my hubs.  For me Hubs is an opportunity to get my thoughts off of my chest and be outspoken about things i can not be outspoken about in my daily life.  For me hubs is like an electronic journal where i write my personal and not so personal thoughts and feeling only i allow others to add their perception to the subject.

Usually i can be to myself and not speak out about something especially if it is personal and i am afraid of what people will think, but Hubs make it easy to say and let out and easy to allow others to hear me out and get my message.  I like to think of Hubs as a "blog therapy". It makes the unspoken outspoken, the timid public, and the afraid fearless.

I recently had someone very close to me tell me that he (a very new member to hubs) is waiting for that one subject to come to him where he can just "let it all out".  I cant wait to see it because these people have so much to say and alot of it is so constructive but he especially has a voice that i look forward to hearing.  Hubs is a reliever and it unites different ideas and believes about everyday life into one community.  I love it!

What do you write about on blogs or internet sites?

  • random thoughts that bug me till i get it off my mind
  • i have to think really hard before i come up with something to say
  • i use a paper journal for my thoughts; they are too personal

I think that blogs and hubs are great and very cheap therapy.

Hey JRosemond,

I would have to agree that any sort of blogging, whether it be hubs or an actual online journal somewhere, even tweeting, is a theraputic expression. Many times, we can bottle things up inside and keep the lid wound so tight--i.e. not sharing our struggles or pain--that it will literally consume us from the inside out. While a blog or hub does not conference back, it is there to listen any time of day (and really, most times, all we need is someone to listen).

Writing over the generations has always been a positive form of relieving tension and getting what was once on your chest down on paper so it doesn't plague the soul.

I think singer Anna Nalick's song, Breathe (2 AM), is the best reflection of these moments when we turn to our hubs or blogs for comfort:

"2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me, Threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them, however you want to"
