How to start on Entrecard?

2. If you don't have a ready-t-use 125x125 image for advertising your blog, you'll need to design one. It must be in JPG or PNG format. As I said before, in order to earn "entrecard money" you need to visit other entrecard members blogs and drop your card. I would highly recommend to read at least the latest post on the blog and leave your comment. It will dramatically increase the chance that the owner of the blog will visit your blog in return or write a recommendation of your site. You get 1 credit for every dropped card and you can do a maximum of 300 drops/per day.

When I first joined Entrecard, I had immediately a lot of requests from other members for advertising. I figured out that since I did not have any credits yet it did not cost anything for other members to advertise on my blog. I quickly realized that by the time I have enough credits to advertise on other blogs, I will be promoting other blogs for free. That is ok for me, but since we are all interested in promoting our websites, I decided to add some requirements to my entrecard blog description and ask to leave a comment on my blog in order to get the approval.

Before giving away an approval, make sure to check out the advertiser's blog if you still care about your site's reputation. You have to feel comfortable to get your blog associated with the blog you are going to promote.

You get the most from Entrecard if you spend some time for finding relevant blogs and building relationships with owners. The worst thing that you can do is just land quickly on a blog and drop a card without even reading.
