Blogger vs. Wordpress
61
Blogging is an awesome way to do reviews, give your personal thoughts or share stuff that you like and dislike with the web at larger. I've been writing on the web since I was in high school starting on Xanga but I moved on to bigger and better blogospheres.
Blogger
Blogger is owned and operated by Google but that doesn't guarantee your blog will be listed in it's search engine and Google owns your content. Not to mention that Blogger can be frustrating to use and isn't as customizable as Wordpress.
Blogger doesn't allow you to categorize post in your blog. If you wanted to put categories such as Rants, Raves, or Personal Thoughts, you can pretty much say it's impossible with Blogger. The only that Blogger has going for them is that it's easy to use and you can easily set-up Google Ad Sense.
Wordpress
Wordpress is popular among the writers of world and not just the ones on the web but journalists, authors, etc. I myself am a journalist and critic. When I moved to Xanga to Wordpress I found myself falling in love with it's customizability. I was able to create and find templates that fit who I was and what my blog was about.
With Wordpress, it's as customizable as they come. You can place your post into categorizes and use different plug-ins to give your blog a unique interface like a magazine. The skys the limit with wordpress' themes, plugin and advanced tools. It simply leaves Blogger in the dust.
The Winner Is....Wordpress
But in my opinion, Wordpress is the way to go but it's ulitmately up to you which one will work better for you.
Don't forget to thumbs up and comment thanks.

It was my pleasure.
Hi Lady I dont know anything about either of two I have a program that I use to post online called Dreamweaver but I think I will check out wordpress see what that's about I like the fact that the skt is the limit Thanks~cool~ cya!
I agree with you. I started two blogs on Blogger but have never been able to get enthusiastic about them. Then I started a new site on Wordpress and I think I'm in love, LOL! In fact I enjoyed it so much, I've upgraded from the free version to the hosted version, which is even more sophisticated but just as easy to use.
Oberbreckling, I think you should try out Wordpress. Dreamweaver is program to design websites with. I am also trying something esle out called Joomla which has and extenstion that you can install into Dreamweaver to have it write out the php that is involved in using Joomla. Look for the hub in the couple of days.
Lady Luthi, I did some research before settling on Wordpress: I've come across several people on forums who say they find that websites/blogs built with Joomla don't rank well on search engines. I haven't managed to find a reason for it so far.
Marisa, it's true it's hard to get it ranked on search engines like google and yahoo because Joomla is doesn't use SEF (search engine friendly) links so that Googles bot can find them easily but again there a plugins that help create SEO(search engine optimized) links that help Joomla made websites rank better But I agree that Wordpress is SEF. I am doing some research by testing it out first before I switch. We'll see how it works out.
I like the wordpress platform as it gives more opportunities for Monetizing when compared to Blogger or any others
I would agree that wordpress is more customizable.
I just started a blog and I was looking for some info regarding blogger versus wordpress--you just confirmed that I made a good choice when I chose Wordpress. Thanks!
I'm glad that I could help.
I think it is relatife to any purpose fo blogging. Maybe for pure sharing purpose & want to focus on content sharing wordpress is better. But if you wanna write some content & get some money, clearly blogger is better. Blogger allow 1 ID to make many blog on 1 account, but wordpress doesn't. So it up to your preference & purpose.
that is coool.. keep it up pls.
