Does it taste like a cigarette? that's a good question, yet hard to answer. The short answer is, if you blindfolded a smoker of 50 years and he inhaled the vapor of an e-cig through a neutral device, he or she will no doubt notice that it's not exactly the same. What I've found personally, researching message boards, and getting feedback from new e-cig fans, is that they give a thumbs up to the "throat hit" that an e-cig will provide. Especially the newer generation models like Blu. Compared to any other nicotine alternatives out there, this is the closest thing to actual analog cigarettes.
My husband made the switch May 1st and he thought he wanted the Marlboro taste. You really have to try the flavors to figure out what works best for you. You learn so much about yourself in this process. He thought he'd want a good throat hit, but what he found is that he's more partical to plumes of vapor. It's volume that he's looking for. The taste went by the wayside. He loves the chocolate and peach cobbler best now.

Yowza, good luck with that blu-cigs. We haven't tried that brand, but I do watch with interest. We've been pleased with Janty.
I heard Janty is a quality brand as well. I'd recommend them for those wanting larger sized model e-cigs. As a "super mini" We'll see how Blu holds up over time, but so far so good. I used it extensively for a whole week in Las Vegas a week ago on a business trip. 3 week's of ownership & it's still vaping smooth like butter.

I ordered mine on June 14, didn't hear anything from them, but their website did explain the backlog and their attempts to solve the problem. I received mine on July 18th with no calling or complaining. So far, so good. I just hope they solve their stocking problems before I need more cartridges
ok im a long time smoker and was wondering i usually smoke 1/2 pack a day. with the charger in play and five cartrides that the box hold would that last me for the day?
I ordered mine 9/5/09 and received it today, 9/11/09. I almost bought one last month, but they were at a month backlog. Now it says that orders may take two weeks but usually ship out within five days on their website.
I just got mine today. I ordered these on Thursday and they arrived the following Monday. Talk about speedy delivery!!
I haven't tried all the flavors yet. Menthol is my poison of choice, so that is the flavor I stuck in there first. I didn't know if something would leak out if I took the cartridge off the atomizer before it was empty, so I'll just 'vape' one at a time.
The closest thing I can compare it to is inhaling the smoke from an incense burner. That is the taste anyway. Not nearly as harsh on your sinuses or lungs or throat, but the vapor is really light and the after taste is similar to what I taste when I smell my incense. It isn't unpleasant at all. The first thing I noticed is that I don't get the head rush that I get off of cigarettes. That just tells me there are other chemicals other than nicotine in a regular cigarette that makes you dizzy. I took some pretty deep drags off this thing and I just got the pleasant buzz of nicotine and nothing else. That is a plus in my book.
If you want a lot of vapor then you have to puff it as if you were lighting up a cigarette. You can get quite the volume of vapor if you do that. It is still not heavy like a cigarette and it doesn't burn the eyes or sinuses. I'm going to stock up now before the government realizes that these are going to take a huge wet bite out of the tobacco industry and then they start to level a huge tax on them.
All I know is that electronic cigarettes may be the cure for cancer. Nicotine may be addictive, but so is caffeine, sugar, sex, the internet, and video games. We are all entitled to our addictions. Finally I can enjoy mine without the smell that turns people off and the social stigma that smokers have to endure. I can smoke it up in my office while everybody else is freezing outside. These things are a Godsend!!
orderd my blu! im stoked to find an alternative however im worried about the time 4 to 6 weeks is a while..... its been five days and no email the order is still pending aaaaaaaa. hopefully my will power to quit analogs will be magnafied with this cool technology. p.s. i have no will power right now. lol
Well, I ordered my blu cigs on October 16th, was told a one to two week delivery time... Well, it's the 6th of November and it arrived today.
Right out of the box the product doesn't work, hasn't even once, or for even one moment. When I called customer service I was given the run-around for over 30 min, at which point I was told that they would "E-mail me a form" that I can fill out, then PAY to mail the product back, and then continue to wait an additional 4 weeks AFTER they receive and process my return.
I have no opinion on how the product works, because it never did. To boot, this company has quite possibly the worst customer service ever.
Things To Note
While I have Personally raved about Blu Cigs, its healthy benefits, and how they are the first company to come out and give an Affordable price for the masses, there are a few quirks. As of today, you can google your whole afternoon away and you still won't find a "perfect" e-cigarette.
A couple things I will note:
-Blu is sensitive to air movement, so it's not a good idea to store it in your pocket without it's case. It will start vaping if there is a lot of movement in your pockets.
-For some people, this e-cig is actually "too small". For those with big hands, they may feel more comfortable with a "pen style" model. Also, I almost misplaced the device many times due to its size.
-The cartridge life is probably half to 3/4th of what they claim. Results vary a lot from person to person. This is similar to the "EPA Gas Milage ratings"...So don't be too attatched to the "max ratings" on cartridge life.
-All in all, i've been getting a lot of messages on my youtube account expressing how much they are enjoying their new e-cigarette from Blu

What a great hub on a topic near and dear to my heart. You've read my hub about electronic cigarettes and I think as people like us share the info with more people, we'll see a huge change in smoking in our society.
