Blu Ray McQueen

Blu Ray McQueen is the rarest of all the Disney Cars diecast line. Since it's no longer being made or directly distributed, finding one can be a bit of a trick - but definitely not impossible.

Stores (offline) such as Wal-Mart, Target, etc., do not sell Blu Ray McQueen and they never have. They can only be purchased online from a couple of places, including Amazon.com and eBay (see links here on this page).

In January of this year (2008) Blu Ray McQueen was offered as a special edition car that could be purchased for $3.50 along with the Blu Ray edition of the movie Cars. It never has been available in stores, and only 15,000 were released for sale.

Just as any other limited edition item, this Blu Ray version of Lightning McQueen has increased in price due to the fact that there is demand for it, but very low supply.

Based on the completed auctions on eBay, the average price to pay is around $60.00 (includes shipping costs).

At Amazon, you are going to pay a bit more but if you look in the "buy used and new..." options you will be paying about the same as you would on eBay - FYI for those who aren't comfortable with making an eBay purchase for some reason.

The numbers of Disney Die Cast Cars collectors is increasing daily. Many people (parents and kids) are working to increase their collections and almost any of the first or second edition diecast cars have become a bit pricey but very worth it when it's important to a little one or to have a full collection for any reason.
