I have traveled through Blue River BC twice now. Once in 2004 and once in 2007. In 2004, I was on vacation and traveled from Ontario to BC and then back to Ontario again. I remember Blue River being a very small community along the Yellowhead Highway. Blue River is nestled in the mountains and is a very beautiful community.

In 2007, I spent the weekend in Valemont BC which is the next community along the Yellowhead Highway and on the way home form that trip, we stopped to eat breakfast at the Husky Restaurant in Blue River.

I remember the people in Blue River being very nice and friendly. I remember Blue River being a very beautiful mountain community. Blue River would definitely be a place that I wouldn't mind living in. It is a tourist community so I don't think there would be much in the way of jobs except in the hospitality industry. If I were a lot younger and a lot healhier I would consider getting into the tourism field. However, at least for the time being, I will have to just dream of living in such a beautiful place.
