BlueHost Blog and Web Hosting
66After using a web host that didn't live up to my expectations I decided to start looking for other options. For my specific needs I was looking for a web host that was fairly cheap (without being too cheap), that managed all of the server's critical updates and that allowed me to add and manage a blog and other websites easily. I wouldn't consider myself a power user by any means, but I did need a web host that was stable and that wouldn't keep me wondering if my blog was live or not.
This article will tell you about the super fantastic web host that I eventually decided on, BlueHost.com, and why I think that they're the best option out there if you're looking to host a blog, website or any other type of web property.

Overview Of BlueHost.com
As with any online purchase, you should always do your homework before buying and find out as much about the business that you're thinking about handing your money over to. When it came to researching BlueHost I was not only very happy with the amount of credibility that it held with other major web services such as WordPress (it's their top recommended blog host), but I had also been told how great BlueHost was by a friend who currently uses them. After looking around at some other options and searching around Google for other people's thoughts on using BlueHost, I decided that it was the best web hosting option for me.
But, even though I'm already sold on how awesome BlueHost is and I'm currently using them to host my own blog, in the following sections I'll explain more in detail what sets BlueHost apart from the rest of the seemingly hundreds of web hosts that are out there on the web to chose from.
Hosting Plans That Are Packed With Features
The first thing that caught my attention when researching BlueHost was all of the amazing features that they provide in their plans. Some other web and blog hosts have been a little stingy when it came to bandwidth, amount of domains allowed on the account, amount of storage space and other things that aren't even a worry on BlueHost. If you end up buying an account with BlueHost you will get unlimited storage space, unlimited amount of domains that you can host and last but not least an unlimited amount of bandwidth given to the sites that you're hosting.
Also, another thing that I had problems with at other web hosts was the lack of server software upgrades, which can be a real hassle and security issue if not taken care of correctly. On BlueHost all of the latest and greatest server software is updated automatically, which means that you'll never have to worry about whether or not you have the safest and most up to date versions running on your account.
The last thing that I'll mention are the Simple Scripts that are included with your account that make adding some of your favorite most useful web applications as easy as a simple click of a button. Easily add WordPress, image galleries, discussion forums, wikis and guest books without needing to know one single line of code -- it's really that easy!
Check out the images below to see some more of the features that are included with each of the plans offered by BlueHost.
Great 24/7 Support
With BlueHost you get a few things that you might not find at some other cheaper web and blog hosts. For one thing, they actually have a toll-free hot line that's up and running with 24/7 support in case you need an actual person to help you with something. The number for the hot line is 1-888-408 HOST(4678) and is there for you whenever you need it.
There is also a great support ticket system and knowledge base that will help you get the answers to all of your questions quickly and easily. I can tell that BlueHost has put some real thought into the high level of support that they offer their customers, which makes me feel like my account is always going to safe and secure.
Price Options
The price of BlueHost is very reasonable and for one of their full-featured web or blog hosting plans you can pay even as low $6.95 per month (or just $0.23 cents a day!) with a 24-month or 36-month plan. No matter which plan you choose, BlueHost requires that you pay the full amount up front, which is how they can afford to offer you all of the amazing options and features that you just read about while still keeping the monthly cost under an astonishing $7.00 per month.
if you're only looking to buy a package that's no longer than 12 months long, then there's another option to pay a slightly higher price of $7.95 per month. Either way you're getting an incredible deal on a very solid, stable and highly supported product and when it comes to finding a good web or blog host these are all very, very important. You might be able to find something a little bit cheaper, but eventually you'll most likely end up paying for it somehow (believe me, unfortunately I know).
There are also other options and special deals that are sometimes available, so if you're wanting to see what all BlueHost currently has to offer be sure to check out the BlueHost website for more details.

Hmmm, I guess that you're entitled to your own opinion and I have heard that HostGator is pretty solid, too, so I guess that I can't disagree with that. But, I have persoally had an awesome experience with BlueHost and from what I can tell, they do use cpanel for their hosting management. Check out the demo here: http://www.bluehost.com/cgi-bin/cplogin
How long have you been using bluehost ? Or you just started ? I think you will know how good a web host is only in the long run. May be a full year is minimum period for this.
I've been using them for a few months now, but the tools and ease of use have really made me happy with my decision to use them as my web host. But, I'll be sure to keep you updated with my progress as time goes on. Like you said, you never really know how good they really are until you've spent some real time with them, but so far so good. Also, some of my friends have been using them for a couple of years and they recommended BlueHost to me, so they must be doing something right.
Sounds great Ryan! I'm very happy with Hostpapa - but if ever I need to look at another hosting service, this seems promising.
Yeah, like I said, there are A LOT of options out there, but BlueHost has been the best that I've tried so far.
Great info here Ryan, Now I'm thinking of replacing my host! Hmmm.... Thanks for sharing :D
I'm not a big fan of their pay all at once deal. I didn't like that at all. Time will tell if it's really what you're looking for. When I first ordered it, my dad told me I rushed into it. On paper it all looks great; deep down, I really don't trust anyone with my hosting. :-/
I canceled the service because I'm still hoping he'll be able to fit my many untouched domains into his schedule to develope and host at home.
There is a promotion going on for $3.95/month at http://www.bluehost-info.com Bluehost is pretty solid in my opinion.
There are many web hosting options but Bluehost is one of the most reliable providers out there...in my opinion

Sorry Ryan don't agree with you on this one. I was warned of bluehost a long time ago - they are notorious for taking down all your sites if you have a bit of a traffic spike and also don't run the industry standard cpanel so alot of add on software and scripts don't work well for others. Their prices is pretty standard you'll get the same hostgator but their support is brillliant - I use the chat - cause I am overseas and its 24/7 with little wait - though I think I normally call in the middle of the night their time whch might help!
