technology and have to be a specific range. This range could be 1 meter, 10
meter or even 100 meters. It gives freedom from using all kinds of wires and
cables. Just press a button and get connected with another gadget.

How Bluetooth Works
Bluetooth Technology in Mobile Phones
Before the invent of Bluetooth, mobiles had to be connected
via cable or infrared. Using cable is something most people like to
avoid while infrared is not very much reliable. Bluetooth is the solution to all
these limitations. It offers better and wireless connectivity and eliminates
the use of any cable. Now you have the freedom to use a Bluetooth enabled
wireless headset and talk over phone. You can share data, text, videos, music
etc between 2 Bluetooth enable mobile phones. Bluetooth has already become a
standard inclusion on most mobile cell phones.
Different gadgets support different standards of Bluetooth (version 1.0, 1.1,
2.0), but they are all backwards compatible. This simply means that a Bluetooth
2.0 phone can be connected to a Bluetooth 1.0 hands-free headset. For more
information you can visit: Bluetooth profiles.
