Know what you need before you sail.

Certain boat parts are necessary for safety , docking and the appearance of the boat. The right boating accessories allow one to enjoy the boating experience to the fullest while considering safety.

Boat accessories needs depend on the type of boat one has, such as fishing boat, inflatable boat, sailboat or yacht.

Pontoon boats have a deck built on top of the two cylindrical pontoons. They are available for a variety of purposes such as recreational and advanced ones for hunting, fishing and other sport activities.

The size of the deck may differ according to the purpose for which the boat is built, but it is important for the boat to remain lightweight. For this, a material such as aluminum is generally used.

Many pontoon boat accessories are available that can be added to customize the boat for a specific purpose. A bench seat can be added around the sides. A camper enclosure can make pontoon boats suitable for spending a night on board. Attaching a canopy provides shade from the sun.

For the fishermen, rod holders, fish finders and trolling motors can be added. A wide range of fishing boat accessories such as fishing chairs, GPS plotters, outriggers, downriggers and insulated coolers are also available.

A boat trailer is a frame that is used to transport a boat by towing it behind a vehicle. It differs according to the size of the boat. A small boat can have a simple design, but large boats require trailers that are more sophisticated. A boat trailer has one or multiple bunks placed along the length on either side. It joins to the vehicle with help of a coupler.

Inflatable boats are also called dinghies. They are economical and available in various sizes. The inflatable boat accessories include oars, life jackets, flares and hand bailer.
A dinghy cover is a very important accessory. It protects the boat from sun, rain and other extreme weather conditions. The various types available in the market are trailing covers, mast up covers, flat covers and boom up covers. They are usually made of polyester material or poly cotton.

The cover must come with other accessories such as fastening straps, hull straps, webbing nylon and releasing buckle. The covers should be strong and durable.

Boating can endanger lives or become a nightmare without the right boating accessories. Or, with the proper gear be safe and fun. Whether the boat is old or new, buying the proper boating outfitting accessories that improve its usefulness, safety and attractiveness is always advisable.

When purchasing a Boat Trailer always make sure that the trailer will fit right on the trailer,in other words if the boat is 18' don't buy a trailer set up for a 24 foot boat just because it's a good deal. Without the proper "Tounge

Weight" the trailer will never pull right and that can be a major problem. A trailer's tounge weight should be between 10 to 15% of your total weight.
