65Boise, Idaho, Victorian on Hays
The following property was my seventh project and definitely my biggest undertaking. It was a Victorian Home, used as a rental for years on Hays street, just north of downtown Boise, Idaho. It was 3500 finished square feet, another 400 plus unfinished and a detached two car garage. It was difficult because it was an old Victorian, in the historical district of Boise, that was being used as a triplex when purchased. It had had some rough remodels over the years and needed to be redesigned back into a single family home, which involved removing unnecessary walls, developing the kitchen, adding a master bedroom (which was not the norm in the early 1900's) and creating a half old house that would perform better than new construction and half new house that needed to meet seamlessly with the old.
Incidentally, I am not an architect.

What a great job you have done. I like the fact that you kept that original sink and tub in the bathroom. Fits in with the age of the house and yet the updates make everything so much more liveable. This must be so much fun for you!
