True crime genre fans will enjoy Clint Richmond's The Good Wife: The Shocking Betrayal and Brutal Murder of a Godly Woman in Texas.

The story of the murder of Lou Anne Ehrle "Penny" Scaggs is not uncommon from many other tales of spousal murder that seems to envelope America today (despite the fact that obtaining a divorce is easier than ever in most states), yet it serves as a painful reminder that bad things do truly happen to good people.

In The Good Wife readers are invited to take a personal view into the life of Penny and her husband's, Roger, life together that last for thirty (30) plus years until the temptations of lust and greed overtook him. Unfortunately, divorce was not an option for a man like Roger, who had long been an upstanding man of the community; there was only one way out: murder.

The Good Wife is a well written, detailed and expertly organized account of the life of Penny Scaggs and the sins and eventual conviction of her husband, Roger Scaggs.

As a fast paced nonfiction with only 338 pages, The Good Wife is a quick but excellent choice for true crime fans!
