Using Articles to Promote Your Book

One of the best ways to advertise your book is by distributing articles on the internet. It is easy to do and very effective. You write 300-500 word articles on your book's topic and then include a "bio" with a link to your website or other website where your book can be purchased.

There are many article directories on the web where you can submit your articles. Blogs and other website will then pick up your articles and publish them on their websites, increasing your book sales.

You should have at least 10 articles on the internet to drive traffic to your website. If you are thinking right now that this strategy sounds time consuming and tedious, you are right. But there are some shortcuts.

Instead of writing new articles, you can repurpose information from your book. You can copy and paste sections of your book and turn them into articles. To save time on submitting articles, you can pay $2.00 per article to isnare.com and they will submit your article to hundred of article directories for you.

Articles can also be repurposed. Why not read your article and record it, turning it into a podcast. Podomatic.com is a free podcasting site where you can upload your mp3 recordings. You can also turn your article into a video using PowerPoint and put it on youtube.

Book advertising does take hard work and perseverance and many of the tasks involved in promoting your book online involve time and energy. You may want to consider outsourcing some of the tasks you do not enjoy doing. It is important that you use articles as part of your book advertising strategy. It is one of the many components of book advertising and marketing that you need to employ to sell more books.
