There are no guarantees that they are all genuine, though I've done my best to weed out the affiliate-sourced comments. Be warned that a lot of reviews for Bookmarking Demon are from bloggers who want the healthy affiliate commission, but have not even used it. You're advised not to buy through these cowboys who are adding nothing but corruption to the internet!

• I have had good results from Bookmarking Demon. I haven't used any of the competing tools so I can't give you a comparison. The important thing to remember about any of these tools is to use them with caution so that you aren't link spamming.

• You do have to remember what it's good for, mostly getting new content indexed quickly and ranking for long tail terms, and that it can be improperly used and cause you problems. I mean spamming 1000's of links in a short period of time.

• BMD is one of if not the best automated bookmarking tool out right now, and has been for a loooong time.

• I would not recommend this software at all. It simply does not work correctly. You might think its working but go in and check some of your accounts. Very high failure rate.

Once the pinging is set up to run, it runs automatically. I ping while I sleep! You can ping your social bookmarking profiles and also every page that you have submitted. You can also add any ping services you want, and can delete any, also.

• During bookmarking, Bookmarking Demon will automatically add rss feeds as the automatic bookmarking progresses, so your monetized sites do not dominate your bookmarks and irritate the site owner and you will be able to keep bookmarking at all the sites.

• If you be patient and submit your links no more than 2-4 a day, then the tool is safe to use, but if you bombard the social bookmarking sites with this tool - which can be easily done - then you can get penalized

• I believe a tool, just like any, is supposed to make your life better since the automation it provides can save you some time, time that you can use for other things. Abusing a tool is what gets you in trouble. All good things turn bad when abused.

• Whichever tool you purchase and use, do so responsibly or you'll end up spending more time than you save constantly re-doing accounts.

• I usually do a run whenever I have a new post/page on a site or launch a new site in order to bookmark the new content. I will also re-bookmark older content from time to time on no set schedule.

• I have a large number of accounts I use, especially for Scuttle sites. I have fewer for the main sites. I haven't had a need to use a proxy since I only bookmark a few sites at a time and mix them in with links to other relevant authority sites.

• The results have been good, especially for indexing new sites and content. Don't expect it to help you rank for highly competitive terms by itself though.

• Bookmarking Demon is a fantastic bit of software and you just need to realise what the point of bookmarking is. It is about getting interest from the search engine spiders and it matters not about nofollow or dofollow. The spiders will still follow the links to your site they just won't pass any page rank from the linking site to yours. A good bookmarking campaign will get your site indexed but it needs to be done in conjunction with other backlinking techniques.

The bottom line is that Bookmarking Demon is a useful tool for getting traffic and building links from social bookmarking sites. There are several ways to get more backlinks, and social bookmarking is certainly one useful one, even if it may not be as effective as it used to be, as reported by several posters.

If you use BookmarkingDemon responsibly, i.e. drip feed submission, you should be able to build quality backlinks to your sites. However be warned that it's not necessarily the best seo tactic. It's just one of many.
