Bookmarking Demon is a piece of software that makes it easy to submit your URLs to a number of popular social networking sites. By using this tool, you can add hundreds, if not thousands of highly targeted backlinks to your sites. This will increase your search engine rankings and you should consequently see a significant increase in traffic.

In this hubpage, i want to share with you some tips I've discovered while using this software.

1. Add as many keywords to your submissions as you can
Every keyword that you add, becomes a new page on each social bookmarking site you submit to. More pages = more backlinks. So if you add 8 keywords and are submitting to 20 sites, you will get 160 new backlinks for that url.

2. Remember to check your email and verify your accounts
This sounds kind of stupid, but I've wasted time by forgetting to verify my accounts after BookmarkingDemon creates them. If you don't do this and submit your url, it won't go through on the sites that require email verification.

3. Cloak your links
Everytime you do a Bookmarking Demon run, toss in some urls of some unrelated sites. You can just take the latest posts from popular sites like Engadget, Digg, etc. This way, your runs don't look spammy and you lessen the risk of being banned.

4. Ping your submissions
Once you have created your links you should ping the various social bookmarking sites that you have submitted your sites to. This will notify the various search engine spiders that the content of the page has been updated and they should come around to index it again. Another feature new to Bookmarking Demon 4 is that it will automatically do this for you.

Bookmarking Demon 4 has a new feature where you can add a list of rss feeds to your preferences. When you submit your sites, the software will automatically pull random content from these feeds to submit as well. This is definitely a great feature you should take advantage of.

5. Add more pligg and scuttle sites
Bookmarking Demon currently has added support for 109 different bookmarking sites. However, one little known feature is that it also has the ability to add additional pligg, scuttle, and scuttle plus sites to the software. Do a search on Google to find additional sites that you can use.

6. Don't just bookmarking your "money sites"
You don't need to limit using Bookmarking Demon to create links to a single site. One great SEO strategy is to build up a network of related sites using different Web 2.0 properties, and have them all link back to your money site. Create accounts on sites such as hubpages, squidoo, wordpress, blogger, tumblr. Also submit related articles to directories such as ezinearticles, goarticles, and others. For each of these pages you create, using Bookmarking Demon and submit them to the various social bookmarking sites as well. This strengthens each of these pages' rankings and your money page will benefit from the traffic being funneled to it.

I hope Bookmarking Demon users will find these tips helpful. If you're not a user, feel free to check out this Bookmarking Demon review site for a more in-depth look at its features.

Couple of things here -- where can we find a .txt file of additional social sites that are compatible (has to be registration pages). Secondly, if we ping the sites we just marked to - wouldn't that invoke the google bomb penalty? Better off to let those sites get crawled naturally so that they will all hit at separate times.

If you go to http://bookmarkingdemonreview.com, you can see a list of the main social bookmarking sites. I've never heard of pinging causes any penalty like that. Ping servers will block you if you ping a site multiple times though.

Nice tips, .. I just bought it today, and somehow managed to miss the training videos. I think the ADD URL option is a great feature, but I have to say, ... I saw a little disappointed that some of the "heavy hitter" Web 2.0 sites are NOT included e.g. digg.com etc.

If you look at the Bookmarking Demon 5 preview, you'll see Digg listed in one of the screenshots. So it's coming. =)
