Choice of Books

As it is impossible to read more than a very small fraction of the immense number of books now in existence, the proper choice of books is a matter of great importance. “Knowledge gathered by hundreds of good books can be destroyed a single bad book”. Books should be chosen carefully according to the interest of reader and must be read to understand the theme instead of words. Reading books is pleasure if we are interested in it. Some one said that Reading is pleasure for him. I personally believe on it that Books are best companions of every time for every one.

What Books you should read and Why?

“Reading makes a full man.” Reading poetry makes a man imaginative whereas argumentative prose develops logical thinking. Shakespear’s dramas take us into the world of romance where realism exists by side. Ketats’ poems open magic casements’ for us. We learn the ways of the world from the books. These are companions who will never betray us if we are faithful to them. “Studies serve for delight, for ornament and for ability.” When a person has no company, books give delight, serves as an ornament when a person talk to another one. Conversations punctuated by the great writer’s opinions become impressive. Moreover, through reading books one acquires the capacity to conduct the affair properly.

Cunning People misuse their studies, simple men admire them but wise people use them, for example a criminal minded person will commit crimes more cleverly by reading detective novels and on the other hand a positive minded person will get moral from that novels that however but the criminal was caught at end. Wise persons get help from books and learn how to get success through those.

Histories make men wise; poets witty; mathematicians subtle; and philosophy deep. So if a man can not be discriminatory let him study philosophy; if one can not argue one should study the lawyer’s cases. So every defect of the mind can be remedied by reading different subject.

When the harsh realities of life depress us we can read Arabian Nights, for some time we forget that in this world people sit and hear each other’s groan. We start feeling that life is a long holiday. Moreover, we cultivate moral outlook by reading novels and dramas. Similarly we may learn more about Joan of Arc from Shaw’s drama Saint Joan Pems stric our emotions and give us thrill. Though book splendor is changed into fragrance.

In short, books are men’s real friends, they never desert man even in trouble. Reading is very good habit and all of us should try to adopt it. I was really bad about reading books I found it boring but now through Hubpages my reading interest is slowly increasing and I’m really influenced by the service provided by Hubpages. The people who develops the habit of reading, never fail in any field or examination of life.

Taste of every person would be different according to his/her interests and other factors involve in developing a person. Let say, we take a example for a Girl who becomes wife and then a Mother. In early age, her interest would be reading stories like Barbie, as she gets mature her interest would develop on other sides which is highly influenced by her surroundings, culture, mates, learning, psychology, and many other factor. When she becomes a mother or about to be; her interest would definitely transfer towards reading how to get a healthy child, how should she have diet, what to eat or not, how to do exercise etc
