Bookworm Adventures that cause fun effects:

You get a free gemstone tile for making words of a certain power value. The level of gemstone goes up based on how much you do! You can also win gems in the Bookworm Adventures minigames. Use gemstone tiles in words for a bonus effect. Or save them for later! You keep them between game rounds.

The gemtiles are in this order: Purple Amethyst, causes poison and +15% damage. Green Emerald, heals Lex and +20% damage. Blue Sapphire, causes freeze and +25% damage. Orange Garnet, lowers enemy attack and +30% damage. Red Ruby, causes fire and +35% damage. Pink Crystal, purify potion + damage shield and 50% damage. White Diamond: Fully heals Lex + free potions and 100% bonus damage.

Here's some other things you might want to try doing:

• Spell the word ASTROPOP during the game. It's one of the other games made by Popcap and something special will happen.
• Click on Lex constantly! He has a few different secret effects. I prefer the bubble sneeze.
• Try dying as soon as possible in adventure mode to replace mini games. This lets you get free potions and gemtiles. It's a cheat but very useful during the end stages where everyone has armor resistance and damages your tiles.
