The fraudulent and violent war in Iraq sold to the American People on a pack of lies, the genocide in Darfur, the Terrorism of Osama Bin Laden, the population explosion, illegal immigration, heath care, global pandemic diseases, racism, ethnic cleansing, jealousy, school shootings, economic booms and busts - what would happen to all of these terrible things if the Lord of all Lords, Jesus Christ the Son of God, were alive and walking the Earth today?

This is a question on many minds today and indeed we even see on many bumpers stickers on cars passing us on the streets, "What would Jesus do?"

Well, today, there is a chance that we might find out. Recently the bones of a family were uncovered in Jerusalem where a construction crew excavating the foundation for a large new apartment complex were discovered. When archaeologists were called in to investigate they found enough evidence to conclude that they had uncovered the bones of Joseph and Mary, the father and mother of Jesus along with those of Mary Magdalene, his brother, cousin and Uncle. Because there could be no other families alive at the time with exactly the same family tree, they concluded that they had in fact uncovered the bones of Jesus of Nazareth.

James Cameron, the Director of Titanic was so impressed after reading about the discovery that he made a one hour long documentary for the Discovery Channel that aired last year. After seeing this documentary, being a science fiction writer, I allowed my imagination run wild with what if types of questions. What if these really were the bones of Jesus, the man believed by billions to be the Son of God? And, what if there was enough DNA in these bones to CLONE this great man? And, finally, what would happen, if we were able to clone the man who certainly is my choice for the greatest human who ever lived, if he is not the actual son of God. At least there was one person who knew about God more than any of the rest of us and taught about God so simply and elegantly that his name has survived him for over two thousand years and is possible to survive him another 50,000 years if we survive as a species.

So, I wrote the book, "BORN AGAIN,The 2nd Greatest Story Ever Told."

In it, I speculate about what might happen to the world if Jesus were resurrected and brought back to life again in this day and age. The bones of my story is that if Jesus were alive he would be mad as hell at the way that we have treated people all over the world. More than half the world is starving and dying unnecessary early deaths simply because the wealthy nations don't want to give enough help and support to the poorer nations.

And, when a military power like the United States of America gets the notion that it's OK to invade another nation, killikng hundreds and thousands of innocent men, women and children, just because our President thinks it may be a good idea to do that, that would be something that Jesus might want to tell us about, I imagine. Even more hypocritical is the fact that this President calls himself a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. Well, if he is, he has completely fooled me, because I don't believe Jesus of Nazareth would want our President to BOMB ANYONE, until he had exhausted every other possibility to solve our differences. In fact, the Jesus I've heard about in church and read about in books and seen in movies would have told our President to "Turn the other cheek" which in this case might have meant that he should wait until he found absolute proof of nuclear weapons or biological weapons before he launched his invasion, thus sparing the innocent women and children who are always killed in what they now call, "Collateral Damage".

Instead the President launched his long and costly war on the basis of a news story he read in a newspaper and which his own C.I.A. was telling him was "Questionable". Jesus might be very miffed at behavior like that and yet it persists all over the world, wherever there are powerful people in charge. Russia has the same problem with their tyrannical president, Vladimir Putin. There have been dozens of others who abuse their power and murder tens of millions of people and let little children die and starve when it is only greed that separates us out from the things that Jesus would have us do. So, this global malaise is not just confined to the United States. It's everywhere.

What Jesus would do in a world like this would be nothing short of miraculous IF there were enough of his believers to help.
