If you go up to a random person in the street and ask them, "What is your opinion on gaming in general"? They could respond to you in so many different ways its unbelievable. Our society as a whole view it from being the best thing that's ever happened in this world to the worst. It's no wonder the entire business is still making money in these hard times.

I personally love gaming. I wish I could do it all the time and not feel about the things that I'm putting off. The simple things too like taking out the trash, or doing the dishes. Yeah sure they do get done but not the first time I remind myself to do them. I believe that there in lies the problem. Gaming is very addictive and unless you have complete control over it it's going to suck you in. All those things that you were supposed to do are all the sudden not as important as taking out the trash or doing the dishes.

On the other hand it does provide a bit of education and certain abilities. All games need a certain education level to understand them. I mean you usually have 2 basic subjects in them all the time. Math for keeping score and adding and subtracting things your trading to other played, multiplying to get a better value, finding averages, its all there. English obviously, I mean how are you going to follow the directions if you can't read them in the first place? My personal favorite too is hand eye coordination. You come in to a game like a first person shooter and your just terrible at it. I guarantee if you sit there and play it long enough (practice makes perfect) you will find that you are getting better. Why? Your training your body and mind to work together to perfect hand eye coordination.

I like to play games because it very relaxing. Sometimes though it can be cruel and aggravate me but most of the time it's a smooth wonderful world. I hope that people would see that games are not bad at all unless you give certain games to the wrong people. It's up to parents and people themselves to pick the games they like and not worry about what other people are playing.
