World Champion Boston Celtics

Celtics NBA World Champions

After a 17 year absence from the finals; and four year absence from the playoffs, the Boston Celtics have re-surge to gain NBA dominance. They certainly dominated during the last game of the season against a once thought POWERFUL Los Angeles Laker team.

The infamous game 6 began with NBA superstar Kobe Bryant in his normal form; draining 3 pointers over the Boston Celtic guard Ray Allen. Ray Allen seems to ignite Bryant; however Bryant began to talk to the crowd and not focusing on the game.

As a former player, as soon as you begin to chat with fans; they have you - because the fans win when you respond (verbally). Anyhow; Kobe Bryant's explosive start were only long range jump shots and three-pointers. That means he wasn't able to get to the basket due to the smothering Boston Celtics defense.

In the second quarter; Boston managed to hit a series of 3-pointers and get a few 3 point plays by Kevin Garnett which ballooned the lead to 25 by half-time. If you have been following the series; you know big leads meant nothing so it appeared not to phase the Lakers yet.

However, as the Lakers continued build homes as brick contractors, the world champion Celtics bombed away like Hamas terrorist. Before you looked up it was nearly a 50 point game. The Boston Celtics have re-taught teams and people how you completely bury the enemy when he or she is down.

You aren't suppose to show anyone any life or they may as well get up and kill you or worse kill you and your family.

At the end of the game it was Boston -131 and Los Angeles 92. Nearly the most lopsided defeat in NBA history. We saw loyal adoring Celtic fans with all their jerseys and memorabelia (which you can get your paws on at your local store), and a purely excited Kevin Garnett give a shout out to the entire world; burst into tears, and huge NBA great and hall of famer Bill Russell.

I grew up not liking the Celtics; NOT that I didn't like Larry "bad back" Bird or Robert "I stay high" Parish, Kevin "mr pivot step himself" Mckale, it's just I liked Magic Johnson, better. Now days times have change; I'm a bigger fan of Ray Allen, Paul "Pierce'em" Pierce, and my Chicago native Kevin Garnett.

NBA ratings were up; I watched every single game with no interruptions (something I haven't done since MJ retired...ok ok; I caught the Lakers show in 00-02, and the Pistons when they defeated the Lakers and the Littel four they had), and the games were all exciting.

Make sure you leave your Bosten Celtics thoughts below.

Nate Johnson
