I don't live in the US so I just heard about this last week -- Boston Legal got cancelled. The best fictional law firm since the practice is no longer showing and got cut off half through Season Five.

I was quite surprised and did not expect this to be cancelled and it was quite sudden. Though at least there was some closure in the law firm in the last few episodes.

The producer of Boston Legal and The Practice is now in the process of creating a new legal drama for 2009 according to speculation.

For those of us who are fans of Boston Legal and The Practice which series did you enjoy more? Do you think that the direction of a new series from the same director should follow a lighter tone or a more serious tone like in The Practice? Or perhaps a different tone altogether.
