This is exactly how I begin my keyword campaign

Now that I got people interested in using long-tailed keywords, question is how to brainstorm for one? Well, this is why I'm writing this article. Just follow along with me as I am writing this article from the top of my head instead of from my outline.

Example 1: I have a business of promoting Global Domains International. Let's go to Yahoo searches and enter the following keywords with results.

Global Domains International 15,800,000 queries

Global Domains International gdi 937,000 queries

Global domains international gdi home affiliate business 211,000 queries

gdi home affiliate business sponsor 166,000 queries (a Winner!)

This would be my pick for a long-tailed keyword. Keep in mind that with only 166,000 queries, and with a long keyword like this, you can really see where you will be beginning your campaign. You can get a domain name as gdihomeaffiliatebusinesssponsor.ws or something like this so that by having your keyword as your domain will help your searches, especially with smaller search engines.

gdihomeaffiliatebusinesssponsor as a keyword will trigger the query if anyone uses any combination of the smaller keyword searches:

gdi gdihomeaffiliatebusinesssponsor

gdi sponsor gdihomeaffiliatebusinesssponsor

home business gdihomeaffiliatebusinesssponsor

Anyway, so a long-tailed keyword is like a master keyword that is like a catch-all that can snag alot more queries and will give you a good fighting chance in your online marketing by pulling up your sites near the top, especially in the less than common terms or ultra specific queries that the prospects who are closer to the buying cycle will tend to query.
