Who initiates breakup in a relationship more? Men or Women

When i see my freinds group and all the people i know , i can see that out of all the couples who broke up , most of the time it was initiated by the Girl.

I am trying to find out the percentage figure to say that X% of the times girls initiate a breakup .

The other things i have noticed and trying to confirm if they are really true or just my observation are :

- I have noticed that women have more reasons to break up than a men? Is that True ?

- one of my friend (a girl) says that women think long term and and they can sense earliar if they can continue for long term with the other person ? If not they try to break up ? Its painful for time being but in a long run its a good thing , which i agree myself ?

- Other thing one of my other friend (again a girl)says that Girls like variety ? it does not apply to relationships but also other things like Fashion , Food , A place to visit , they like variety more than Men , and some where down the line it also applies to relationships, It may be possible that Women was truly in love with a person , but later if the relationship is in a rut and does not have some spice , Women start feeling bored and try to see it as a weak realtionship , I agree that its true for men and women , but Women feel more stronger for this .

I am still tyring to find out the answer of my first doubt ? Do Women intitate breakups more then men? Does it depends on Geographical location also ? Is it different for US and Australia or India or Chine Or say Africa , or is it universal to every place ?
