Breast augmentation surgery can be very expensive, and unless you have a lot of money it is unlikely you will be able to pay the full amount up-front without obtaining a loan or working out an alternative financial arrangement. Insurance typically covers surgery, but only for medical reasons relating to the health and well-being of the individual, not for cosmetic surgery. There are companies out there that will offer you a line of credit for medical expenses that an insurance company will not cover. You can check with the doctor that you plan on scheduling your surgery with for recommendations, or search up companies that offer these kinds of services on an Internet search engine.

Additionally, some doctors will often work with their patients directly to come up with a breast augmentation financing plan. Generally, you pay some amount as a down payment and then pay by the month until the bill is paid. Not every doctor is willing to do this due to the fact that collecting on an unpaid medical bill is a difficult task, and they do not wish to risk performing surgery on someone who may not even pay. If you have bad credit, you can pretty much give up trying to find a doctor that will work out a financial plan like this for you, but there are other options out there. There are loan companies out there that specialize in lending people money for cosmetic medical operations. Sometimes the interest is lower than a traditional loan, sometimes it is higher, it all depends on your credit score and where you live.

Is Breast Augmentation Financing For You?

Many companies like this are willing to work with people that have bad credit. Furthermore, there are programs out there that cater to people who want to have breast augmentation surgery exclusively. They work just like one of the loan companies above, but breast augmentation surgery is all that they deal with. Generally an implant surgery costs close to 5000 dollars, and a company like this would be likely to give you payments of between 150-200 dollars a month (plus interest of course). You can also borrow the money from a friend if possible, that is an interest free loan for most people, if you know someone willing to lend you the money for this kind of surgery.

Regardless of what type of breast augmentation financing that you end up using, you are going to have to demonstrate you have the ability to pay for the procedure, even if it is in monthly payments. If you do not have a job, or have not held a job for at least a year, you are unlikely to get a loan or any other type of financing. If you already have multiple debts, and you are struggling to pay them all as it is, but still feel a need to have the surgery as soon as possible there may be an option for you. Have you ever heard of debt consolidation? Basically debt consolidation is getting a company to negotiate with your creditors on your behalf, and condense all of your multiple bill payments into a small monthly fee.

This may free up enough of your cash flow to pay for the surgery with a payment plan. You would be able to demonstrate that you have been being the bills that you already owe, and show that you have the money available in your monthly budget to pay what they require to finance your surgery. If you can not get a loan for any reason, you will most likely have to have at least 500-1000 dollars saved up for a down payment before a doctor would consider putting you on a breast augmentation finance plan. If you are positive that you want to get breast implants, you need to start putting money for that aside as soon as possible.

Recession Influence

Obtaining financing for breast augmentation surgery is not a difficult task for most people, even people with bad credit usually have a relatively easy time. However, The shape of the economy at the moment has changed the odds a little as far as being approved for a loan. Many companies who used to loan to people with bad credit almost indiscriminately are now going out of business, and the ones still around are not making loans so easy to get. However, the good news is that more doctors are willing to arrange a payment plan because of the lack of business. If you are determined and keep looking around, you will be able to finance your breast augmentation surgery some-how, no matter how bad your credit is.
