Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! This is very dear to my heart. I lost both of my grandmothers and a Aunt to breast cancer. Thousands of women, rich and poor will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Each year I dedicate myself to make sure more women are informed, educated, and given hope. Last year I was the store manager of the local Carvel Ice Cream Store. We promoted this cause all month long. We sold ribbons, shirts, ice cream cakes made in the ribbon shape and iced in pink. We donated these cakes to various agencies, doctor offices, and mammogram offices, to show how much we appreciated all they were doing to help women with breast cancer. All the ladies at my store participated in the walk in the park and we proudly wore our shirts that one of the young ladies at work designed. On the back of our shirts was printed " Carvel, Scoopin' For A e sold these shirts for 8.00. We had a wall designed for our customers that came in that were breast cancer survivors and we took their picture and placed it on this very special wall. We collected over 2000.00 for this very special cause. We all can help. We all need to help. Dont think this will never happen to me, Breast Cancer doesnt care who you are, where you come from, it can happen to you. Get a mammogram, do self checks, be informed, do your part to help find a cure for a disease that takes more than just your breast. This disease destroys your mind, body and soul. If you know someone that has survived breat cancer, hug them, tell them you love them, and especially tell them how grateful you are they are still in your life. There is so much you can do to help find a cure. The simple ideals go a long way. Use your imagnation. We need to find a cure. We need to save womens lives, We Need to SAVE THE TA-TAS!!!!!!!
