Easy Bridal hairstyles in 7 steps

A bridal hairstyle can simply make or mar the entire look of a bride on her wedding day. Easy to make hairstyles are always better and preferred by most of the brides-to-be.

In this section, we've described the easy-to-make classic bridal updo. A glamorous combination of a swept-up look along with a wave of cascading locks, this hairstyle is one of the most preferred and an all-time elegant look of the bride.

Follow the below listed set of 7 easy steps to achieve this classic and easy-to-make bridal hairstyle.

Step 1

To begin with, shampoo and condition your hair properly. Make sure you choose a product that is in line with your hair type. In most of the cases, experts recommend doing this a night before, so that your hair is easier to handle.

Step 2

Now, section off front hair from ear to ear and divide front hair into two sections. Put the back hair into a high ponytail. The higher, the better!

Step 3

Once done, backcomb the ponytail. Now, use a bristle brush to begin smoothing the top layer of hair only and gather the smoothed ponytail into one hand.

Step 4

To move ahead, first secure ends in a section clip. Now flip the ponytail forward and grip in a horseshoe shape, at approximately 2.5 cm from the band. Flip the hair back over and fold round to create a rounded shape. Gripping at the centre back, work right side first, followed by left and then the top area. Secure sides with hairpins and neaten the edges with a tail comb.

Step 5

Now, backcomb one front section, while leaving a small band of hair free. At this step, it is important to mist with hairspray and then smooth this section. Pull it upwards so that it comfortably sweeps around the bun. Using two hairgrips, secure the point, just off centre back. Using a tail comb, delicately tuck ends of hair under the bun and pin to hold them in place.

Step 6

Backcomb and mist other side of hair with hairspray in the same fashion. For this side also, leave a small band of hair free like for the first section. Now wrap round to back and secure with two grips.

Step 7

To end, fold ends round finger and form into a barrel curl with a tail comb. Once done, neaten the ends and grip in place. As a final touch, you can delicately insert hair accessories and also curl the side hair into tendrils.

Don't forget your bridesmaids hairstyles too !

When you're planning for your wedding day - you'll probably have chosen the bridesmaids dresses several months beforehand, bought shoes and hair accessories to match.

Don't make the mistake of planning everything about your look and forget about your bridesmaids !

Why not invite them along to your dress shopping day - when you choose your bridal gown - and then have several girls nights out (or in) to spend time chatting and planning together - loads of fun and it'll help calm any nerves too.

Planning for hair accessories

The carefully planned use of a few accessories can really make a difference in how you look in your wedding photos.

A simple tiara or flower band, small white flowers pinned into your hair, pretty diamond clips - these are all simple but effective ways to add a bit of glamour to your day without adding much to the cost.

On The Day - Tips to get you through !

Try and get a good night sleep - it may be hard, but at least get some physical rest - even if you don't feel you sleep much.

Arrive at your hair salon or hairdresser in good time - make sure you've got time to enjoy a coffee and chat.

If the weather is windy or you are planning to dance the night away - make sure your stylist knows so that she can create a style with extra hold or shower you with her best products !

When you arrive home - it's time for make up and jewelry, slipping into your dress, hop into the bridal car and then you're ready for a walk down the aisle.

Best wishes for a wonderful day!
