You said yes! The day has finally come! Your "love" has proposed. You got the ring...you are officially engaged! You are filled with romance and excitement at the anticipation of planning your wedding and building a new life with your sweetheart. Let the journey of your new life together begin with the wedding planning process. All you need to do is pick a date and everything else will fall into place, right? Wrong! This is when the planning begins! The process will be filled with many fun memorable moments. You will have parties to attend in honor of you and your fiancé, bridal registries to build, catering decisions, guest lists to build, and attendants to choose - plus many more details to decide in order to create your vision of your wedding day.... like...finding "The Dress" or the perfect reception site and the whether the date is available!

Some of you have dreamed about this day since you were a little girl and some of you had already begun keeping a wedding planner and idea book. It's probably filled with pictures you have torn from bridal magazines, fabric samples, and color swatches. Some of you have even filled it with your favorite love quotes from movies, poems and books.

As exciting as this time is and as you contemplate every detail, let your fiancé be a part of this process as much as he wants to. It is a time to be celebrated and enjoyed with family and close friends. The time that is shared planning with him will create special intimate moments and memories that you two can reflect back on and cherish for a lifetime. It is a time to be celebrated and enjoyed with family and close friends.

Make sure you give yourself ample time to get all the details just as you want them. Make a plan! Identify the areas that are most important to you and your fiancé. Then, work your plan. You are going to be making many decisions: What are your colors? Do you want an afternoon or evening wedding? Do you want an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception? Will you opt for a Dj or a band and countless other decisions. Take a deep breath, get out your pencil because there is a great tool to help you jump start your wedding planning. That tool is a bridal show.
