Bridal Shower Ideas
I actually organized my own Bridal Shower and if I knew what I do know then, it would have been so much less stressful.
I didn't know about the existence of such a thing as a complete and utter Bridal Shower Kit that basically takes you by the hand and does it all for you - the thinking and the 'to do list' side.
A friend of mine put me onto it when I offered to host a Bridal Shower for a dear friend (who's bridesmaids were not arriving until the night before the wedding).
What I LOVED about this kit is it offered me some excellent Theme ideas.
If you are looking for inspiration for a bridal shower one thing I'd offer is to pick a theme that is reflective of the Bride - either who she is now or who she sees herself as.
I also loved that it had a complete Hostess checklist - this was a savior as you know what it's like - we have so much as women going on in our mind at one time - it can be very easy for something to fall through the cracks (not that we'd ever admit it! ;-) ).
It offers ideas on decorations, invitations, food, favors and gifts for the Bride to be.
It is honestly like having your own Wedding Planner for the Bridal Shower.
Oh, and if you are like I was - I was dubious about something online that I buy and download being a) safe and b) good quality.
Well I'm a convert - it was such an easy process - and the Bridal Shower Kit was everything I could have hoped for - and more! :-)
Here's a Free Bridal Shower Game too I want to share with you.
And whatever happens - make sure you have fun!
Here is a fabulous Bridal Shower Game for the "ice breaker"
Before the Bridal Shower ask the guests to email you (or telephone) with one secret about them that no-one would know about.
It could be something like they used to be a Regional Ping Pong Champion. Or they used to be called by their middle name. Or they've been engaged 5 times.
It can be anything!
Then you as the hostess will write these out as questions or statements.
Such as:
"Who was the Regional Ping Pong Champion?"
"Who has been engaged 5 times?"
You then pass these around to the guest when they are all arrived. Making sure that they don't get their own question.
The instructions are that through making small talk they are to find this out. They MUST NOT ask the person directly: "have you been engaged 5 times?"
It is more that through finding out about them, it might lead you to uncover this fact.
Again - it breaks the rules to just come out bluntly and say...
However you can let the other know this is the hunt you are on to find the answer to that question.
And the thing is to keep on circulating the room, chatting to the others until you find your person.
After 20 minutes the Hostess then gets everyone to stop and then you can reveal who guessed who - and reveal some of the answers.
You might want to give prizes, for the most 'outrageous secret', 'the most tenacious detective', 'the most inventive line of questioning' and so forth.
This is an absolutely fabulous icebreaker - and it is really fascinating to find out the varied lives people have lived.
