Adding HID driving lights.

Hello, if you have ever thought that your headlights on your car, truck, or Motorcycle were not bright enough to see things at night, or just want to be seen better by others then you should consider adding HID headlights to your vehicle. HID wich stands for "High Intensity Discharge" lights are a great way to gain better vision at night and also make it easier for others to see you. HID lights are different from your typical halogen or sealed beam lights because of the fact that they do not have an element used to create the light. Instead, they actually have an arc of electricity that jumps across two points to create the light which ends up being an extreamly brighter light in doing this. Since they don't have an element to break or burn out, they tend to last twice as long as the other style of lights. There are kits available to upgrade your headlights to HID lights without the hassle of splicing or cutting into your existing wiring harness. These kits are what I call a "Plug and Play" set up. They are offered in a range of color spectrums starting from a yellowish white to a blue and then to a deep purple. The way they determine the spectrum choice is with a number. For instance a bright white would be rated at 6000K, and to get more of a blue you would get the 10,000K and if you wanted a purple then you would get the 12,000K. The ones that are in the 4000K to 6000K are actually the brightest of any of the HID lights, however any of the HID lights will be brighter than the other styles of driving lights. The other benefit to having HID lights is that they actually take less power to operate than the other styles of lighting. Your typical halogen low beam bulb is rated at 51 to 55 watts, were your HID lights in the initial startup there will be just a short burst of around 70 watts, but then once they have lit up it only takes around 25 watts to keep them on thus putting less strain and wear on your charging system which in turn makes it last longer making repair costs lower since you wont need to replace certain parts as often. The kits come with the HID bulbs, and the ballasts that are used to power the bulbs.  Some of the kits available come with a ballast that is of lower quality than some others, I have a pic of an example in some of my pics so you can see the differences of the better quality and cheaper quality kits that are available.  I can usually get these HID kits for around $150.00 per kit and they will come with everything you need to do two or one set of headlights(one vehicle).  You can find kits available from prices of $135.00 to as much as $400.00.  If you have one of the types of headlights that uses the same bulb for both the high and low beams, then if you want to continue to have both high and low with the HID's then you can expect to pay more for a kit that will do both and they may require more work to install some of those kits.  As for most of your modern vehicles now days they usually have a seperate bulb for the high and the low beams which makes it easier to do the conversion to HID's.  I have some pictures of the kits that I get and some pictures of what the headlights look like after putting in the HID kit. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to contact me and I will try to help you in any way I can.

HID Kit  says:

An HID kit is used in the cars, motorcycles, nurseries, indoor aquariums with fish that called for tropical lighting, and even on airplanes while landing and cab lights.
