Brilliant BBQ (or grill!) Desserts – So simple you can’t resist!
68Intro
This simple to make treat is a real favourite of mine and was first discovered by my mother. It is perfect for a summer BBQ and, to my knowledge, never fails to go down well!
First, what you will need: (for 10 people)
- 10 Cinnamon Sticks
- 6-8 Strawberries (each) - 1 bottle of Cointreau - A large tub of clotted cream - Brown sugar -------------------- - Tin Foil - Hot BBQ! - A nice summers day!
Method:
Now, this really could not be simpler!
Cut a large square on tin foil out for each person. Shape it so that all the sides stick up so you have some sort of bowl or pouch with an open top. Once these are prepared put them to one side.
Next, quarter the strawberries so they are bite sized and put them into the pouches. Once there is an even amount in each pouch, sprinkle a decent amount of brown sugar onto the strawberries.
Now pour a shot of Cointreau into each pouch on top of the strawberries and pop a cinnamon stick inside the pouch. Seal the top by twisting the foil together and pop them onto the BBQ (Or grill if you are cheating) for fifteen to twenty minutes and let all of the juices mix with the alcohol and sugar. You can tell if they are done by taking a peek inside. If the liquid is boiling you should be just about done. However if you leave them in a little longer the strawberries will just be a little softer.
After ten minutes take the pouches out and let them cool enough to be handled. Once done, open up the pouches and remove the cinnamon stick. Then pour the contents into a bowl and add a dollop of clotted cream. Eat immediately.
Mmm... now I just want the weather to warm up!

Not double posting but having that gateway error.
You could always 'buy me' with this wonderful dish. I simply cannot resist not to taste it and to consume it...and even to lick the plate/bowl or whatever the dish is. Simply far too tempting):
Wow - sounds incredible. I'll have to give this a try next weekend. Now that the weather is warming up here, we try and use the BBQ every day. Thanks!
Not a fan of barbecuing, but will do on oven plate this weekend, we are having visitors.

Thanks guys, i really hope you enjoy it!
I am going to be helping myself to some this weekend.
