There are thousands of quality articles out on the web that people never get to see. The reason why? They never succesfully marketed their work to other websites and it just didn't get noticed. Whats the point of having the best product in the world if no one knows about it?

Some people like to buy links to their work, and some like to purchase ads for their website. But what we are going to do is worth your time and best of all, free.

Writing An Article

The entire reason we are doing this is because you want to get traffic to many of your articles. So when you are writing this, make sure that keywords in your article are linked back to OTHER pieces you have written. This starts to create a web of back links which search engines favor a lot.

If someone picks up your article and puts in on THEIR site, then you have free back links to not only the article, but the links in the article that you had.

Make sure you add a small little blurb at the end with your name and a link to your blog/website. If someone reads your article on another site, then they will naturally want to see more and follow any links you have planted.

Submit An Article

Everyone says to submit articles to directorys that will index your article and people will see it and reuse it. I agree with this, but I don't think it is the first thing you should do.

Make an account on Hubpages or Squidoo and post your hub/lens on THOSE sites. If you post the same thing slightly altered on each site, then you have backlinks to both things which is a good thing. Both websites get a lot of traffic and have quality users that will help you out.

Leaving Links

A great thing to do is find blogs and articles that relate to what you are writing about and leaving a comment. In these comments you can leave a link at the end to your article/blog. Again, this creates quality back links. Make sure you actually do read what you are commenting on though, if it doesn't fit with what you are doing then its all wrong.
