There are a ton of men and women all over the world that aren't happy with the appearance of their teeth.  Maybe they aren't straight enough...  Maybe they don't really fit in the mouth that well...  Or maybe they aren't white enough.  This final reason, in particular, seems to come up often when people are discussing their teeth.  This makes perfect sense really.  One of the easiest ways to look attractive is to smile.  If your teeth aren't bright and beautiful though, chances are your smile isn't as nice as it can be.  Now, there are several ways to get brighter teeth.  One of the most recent ways involves the use of a method called the Brite Smile Teeth Whitening system.  In this article, we'll talk about what exactly this system is and a few reasons why it may be for you.

Before going there though, I think it's important to mention the fact that I'm not a dentist. There is a ton of great info online but nothing can compare to a sit down with your personal dentist. Everyone's tooth problems are a little bit different and what works for one, may not work for another. I encourage you to check out a few different websites for a solution to your problem. It's a great way to get basic information but take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Why Brite Smile Teeth Whitening Is Better Than The Other Options

Brite Smile Works The First Time!
Brite Smile Works The First Time!

First off, what are the other options?  Well, the most popular one is probably the take home whitening kit.  This is, as the name implies, a kit that you take home and apply yourself.  Common names that you'd probably recognize include Discus and Opalescence.  If you're not familiar with these systems, they are basically mouth guards that you insert into your mouth.  Inside the guards, there is some kind of bleaching peroxide that stains your teeth white.  These products are OK and, over the long the run, will make your teeth brighter and whiter.  They do have a few disadvantages though.  First and foremost, these types of systems are really quite time consuming.  I find that I don't really have enough time to brush and floss my teeth as often as I like.  There's no way that I could fit a home whitening system into my routine.  The effectiveness of these kits are also sub par.  Your teeth will get whiter, but this won't last forever.  It's almost like a temporary tattoo, in a way.  The mouth guards applicators also don't "paint" the entire surface of your teeth.  The space in between your teeth is often missed.

I like the Brite Smile Teeth Whitening System for several reasons.  First off, a single treatment is usually enough.  This means that you only need to see your doctor once in order to get great bright white teeth.  If your mouth is particularly nasty, you may need more than one session.  More often than not, though, one will suffice.  I also really like that fact that Brite Smile is applied by a professional.  I don't know about a you, but I don't really trust myself to be sticking peroxide in my mouth!  I'd much rather let a dentist or certified teeth whitening technician handle this process for me.  Brite Smile also offers quick results.  You'll see the difference in your teeth the moment you leave the dental office.  Also, the combination of peroxide gel and the patented blue lamp ensure that no spots on any tooth are missed.  Your entire smile will glow!

Brite Smile Teeth Whitening - The Procedure

So what exactly is involved with this system?  Well, it's really quite simple.  Before anything is done, your teeth are checked and cleaned.  This is important, as we don't want to be covering up anything serious.  White teeth are great, but healthy teeth are more important.  As long as your checkup goes OK, the dentist can proceed with the whitening process.  Brite Smile uses a gel that is about 15% peroxide.  All your teeth are coated in this substance.  What's great about this is that even the spaces in between get treatment.  A good dentist or technician will take their time with this step, ensuring that no spots are missed.  All in all, it should take about 40 minutes or so.

After this, a blue light is place above your open mouth.  This affects the gel in a way that creates a whitening effect.  The lamp portion of this process is about 20 minutes long.

All in all the treatment takes about an hour and costs $600.  Do you have any experience with Brite Smile or a similar product?  Let me know!
