Britney's new single 'Womanizer' has just been released, and I'm excited, or suffering from some kind of mental breakdown caused by listening to it over and over again. Confused? So am I, but only because in the spirit of fairness to Miss Spears, and in the name of immersing myself in the topic about which I write I will be playing 'Womanizer' on loop whilst I write this.

It's things like this that really make me feel closer to you guys.

But back to Britney's super new hit tune. The word 'womanizer' is perhaps a little overused, but not when one considers what is obviously the real purpose of this track: to torture unfaithful partners (and possibly as a more ostensibly humane alternative to waterboarding.)

Seriously though, this track is no worse than anything else that's been produced by Britney's handlers over the years. 'Hit me baby one more time" was hardly recognized for its lyrical greatness.

Britney ain't about classic tunes, she's about pop, jumping around like an idiot, putting on clothes two sizes too small, going out to the club and strutting yo stuff in front of eager chaps who more than likely fit the general description of this particular aural offering.

In the context of what it is, it's pure genius, and I don't say that just because pumping it into my ears has actually begun to liquefy my brain. It's normal to have grey matter pouring out of your nose, right?
